It was a great turn out with lots of food to eat. There were a lot of us and everyone were just enjoying their time dancing, singing, laughing and of course the never ending talking.
By the way, a week ago, December 26, 2008 a party was held in Lerio's place. As usual, food were great and the roasted pig was the center of attraction...not me (lolz!)
If I was, I'm flattered...char! To Lerio, it was so nice of you to open your house.
Anyway, back to the New year's Eve party, I only stayed for hours and didn't wait "sa pagsalubong ng bagong taon" since my family had already a plan to be at the church by 10:00 PM to wait for the New Year. It was a great service with lots of things to be thankful about in 2008. Count your blessings!
There were great testimonies from the congregation. The one that really surprised and made everyone happy when this young gentleman gave His testimony and called this girl to come at the pulpit with him. This guy proposed to the girl to marry him and he got a box with an engagement ring on it then put it on to the girl's finger after she answered "I do."
No one knew that this very nice guy will do a proposal except our Pastor. The woman whom he's proposing with was in tears an in total shocked, happy and excited. She knows someday her boyfriend will propose to her but not at that very moment. Don't you just love surprises? I do...
Now, they are engage and the plan for the wedding bells will follow pretty soon. I'm happy for them and wish them to have a good life ahead.
After the church service was a Chilly Cooked Out dinner. We loved to stay but our little girl was getting sleepy and tired. We went home with full of happiness and contentment in life. Looking forward for the coming new year.
In the morning of January 1st, we had Pork Tocino, Chicken Longanisa, dried fish, eggs, rice, Hash brown potatoes (for Hubby) for our breakfast. I was on the phone after breakfast talking to a friend and had to aplogized to hang up since my family was waiting for me to watch the "Bambi" movie. I watched this many times but having a toddler, we have to be patient on what kind of movie she wants as long as it is educational. After the show, we went up to our bed and took our morning nap.
I woke up by 2:30 PM and saw our phone blinking. We got missed calls and checked who called. I was on the phone for quiet sometime while cooking a "nilagang baboy" for my Hubby's dinner. I cooked some food for him before I leave the house to be in my friend's house to have some "sinigang na isda, adobong baboy and adobong manok." These two people that you can see in my slide show plays an important role in my life. They're my first Filipinos I met back in 2000 that until now we still have moments together to enjoy.
Before I closed, let me share you some of the verses quoted from our Holy Bible:

Don’t let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust also in me. John 14:1

Instead, you must worship Christ as Lord of your life. And if someone asks about your Christian hope, always be ready to explain it. 1 Peter 3:15
